Jaclyn Carlson grew up in West Townshend, Vermont and attended the local high school. She started working at a boarding kennel when she was sixteen and got her first taste of animal care and some grooming. After high school she went to Becker College in Leicester, MA and graduated in 2005 with an associate's degree in Animal Science.
